Central Georgia Cancer Care - Macon Magazine
The prospect of getting cancer haunts us all and when it happens the emotions that are released make it virtually impossible to understand the doctor, much less the treatment plans.
Our practice strives to provide a haven for cancer car in such a way that patient are comfortable enough not only to ask questions of their physicians but also understand the answers. Except for a very few exceptions such as a bone marrow transplantation, there is virtually no need to leave Macon for superb cancer care.
At Central Georgia Cancer Care, our staff functions as a family. We know our patients by name and care deeply for them. We provide psychology care. We have a full retail pharmacy in both of our offices led by Scott Davis, Pharm.D. and Jessica Turner, Rph. And we have three full-time, excellent, mid-level providers who assist in chemotherapy education and symptom management.
We make every endeavor to keep patients out of the emergency room when they are having difficult side effects from the chemotherapy. We have an infusion room, full lab and full staff of nurses who work very hard on a daily basis meeting our goals for excellent patient care.
At Central Georgia Cancer Care, we truly feel privileged to care for many patients with cancer of all stages and types.
